Data privacy and what Hybird collects

Hybird takes data privacy seriously. This article explains what data the system collects, how it is used, and your rights.

What data is collected

The Hybird system collects electrical measurement data from your installation. For each monitored breaker, this includes:

  • Voltage (V) per phase

  • Current (A) per phase

  • Active power (W) and reactive power (var)

  • Energy consumption (kWh) accumulated over time

  • Earth leakage current (mA)

  • Breaker temperature (°C)

  • Breaker state (on/off)

Measurements are taken every few seconds and transmitted to the Hybird OS platform via your controller's connection.

The system also collects controller status data: uptime, connectivity status, firmware version, and network information.

What data is not collected

Hybird does not collect any personal data from the devices or networks on your monitored circuits. The system measures electrical parameters only -- it,course, does not monitor internet traffic, access connected devices, or record any audio, video, or communications.

How data is used

Your electrical data is used to:

  • Display real-time and historical consumption in your Hybird OS dashboard

  • Optimise load consumption through event and/or time-based breaker set trigger implementation

  • Monitor your electrical system for anomalies, faults, and safety issues (if you have Hybird Service)

  • Generate reports on your energy usage (as requested)

Who can access your data

Your data is accessible to:

  • You, through your Hybird OS dashboard

  • Your designated installer, for maintenance and support purposes

  • Hybird support and engineering staff, for troubleshooting and service delivery

Your data is not sold to third parties or used for advertising.

Where data is stored

Data is stored in Hybird's cloud infrastructure. Hybird operates in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact [email protected].
