Hybird monitors your electrical system at the circuit level. Each Hybird smart breaker in your panel acts as both a circuit breaker and a measurement device, providing detailed electrical data for the circuit it protects.
Measurements per breaker
Each breaker reports the following measurements to Hybird OS:
Measurement Unit What it tells you Voltage V (volts) The supply voltage on each phase. Normal range is approximately 230V for single-phase connections. Current A (amps) The amount of current flowing through the circuit. Higher current means higher load. Active power W (watts) The real power being consumed by the load at this moment. Reactive power var The reactive component of the load, relevant for inductive loads like motors. Consumption kWh Accumulated energy usage over time. This is what you are billed for on your electricity bill. Leakage current mA (milliamps) Earth leakage on the circuit. Elevated leakage may indicate an insulation fault. Temperature °C The temperature of the breaker itself. High temperatures may indicate overloading or poor connections. State on / off Whether the breaker is currently closed (on) or open (off).
Measurement frequency
Measurements are taken every few seconds and transmitted to the Hybird OS platform via the Hybird Edge Controller. This real-time data allows the Hybird team to detect issues quickly and provides you with an accurate picture of your electrical system at any moment.
Multi-phase circuits
For three-phase circuits (using 3P or 4P breakers), voltage, current, and power are reported separately for each phase. This allows detection of phase imbalances, which can indicate wiring issues or uneven load distribution.
Controller health
In addition to breaker data, Hybird monitors the health of the Edge Controller itself: uptime, connectivity status, and last communication time. If a controller goes offline, an alert is raised.
