This article provides the technical information Panel Builder partners need to integrate Hybird hardware into their own panel assemblies.
Hardware components
A Hybird-enabled panel includes:
Hybird breakers(RCBO, MCB, and/or RCD) - standard 35mm DIN rail mounting, available in 1P through 4P configurations.
Hybird Edge Controller - DIN rail mounted, communicates with breakers via RS485 and with Hybird OS via Ethernet/Wi-Fi/LTE.
PSU - 230V AC to 24V DC power supply for the controller.
Optional UPS - 3.7V / 20Ah Li-Polymer battery backup.

RS485 bus wiring
Hybird supplies pre-cut RS485 wire rated for 110°C and 600V with each installation package. The wire is cut to the length needed to connect adjacent breakers on the DIN rail. Use this supplied wire for in-panel connections.
Bus specifications: Modbus RTU, 500 Kbps, daisy-chain topology, maximum 80 breakers per controller.
Mechanical considerations
All components mount on standard 35mm DIN rail per EN 60715.
Plan DIN rail space for all breakers plus controller, PSU, and UPS.
Calculate total heat dissipation at expected operating currents and size the enclosure accordingly (refer to the Heat Dissipation article).
Position the controller where the Ethernet cable can reach and the RS485 daisy chain starts or ends.

Quality and compliance
All Hybird breakers are CE and RoHS certified, covering both electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and the Low Voltage Directive (LVD). Certificate copies are available on request from [email protected]. Panel builders are responsible for ensuring their panel assembly complies with relevant standards and regulations for the end market.
