The Hybird Edge Controller is the gateway between the smart breakers and the Hybird OS platform. There is one controller model (BASE-LTE-LAN). An outdoor-rated enclosure variant is available (BASE-LTE-LAN-O) for an additional 35 DKK.

Outdoor enclosure
For outdoor installations or harsh environments (including exposure to snow, rain, and heat), the BASE-LTE-LAN-O variant includes an outdoor-rated enclosure. The additional cost is 35 DKK over the standard controller price.
Connectivity
The controller supports Ethernet (recommended) and Wi-Fi for internet connectivity. It uses DHCP by default for IP address assignment. Static IP configuration is available on request - contact Hybird support.
All connections are outbound. No inbound ports or port forwarding are required. Typical data usage is under 800 MB per controller per month.
RS485 bus
The controller communicates with breakers over an RS485 serial bus using the Modbus protocol at 500 Kbps. Breakers are connected in a daisy-chain topology. Pre-cut RS485 wire (rated 110°C, 600V) is included with each breaker package for inter-breaker connections.

The UPS is optional. It allows the controller to remain online during power outages, reporting status to Hybird OS and logging data until the battery is depleted. For specific runtime estimates based on your installation, contact Hybird support.
