This article summarises the key elements of Hybird's data processing arrangements for business customers. It is a summary - the full Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is a separate legal document provided as part of your service agreement.
Roles
In most Hybird deployments:
Customer is the data controller - they determine the purposes for which electrical and site data is collected.
Hybird is the data processor - Hybird processes the data on the customer's behalf to deliver the agreed services (monitoring, optimisation, reporting).
What data is processed
Hybird processes electrical measurement data (voltage, current, power, consumption, leakage, temperature, breaker state) and account/contact data. See the Data Privacy article for a full list.
Sub-processors
Hybird uses third-party cloud infrastructure providers to host Hybird OS. These are sub-processors under GDPR. A list of current sub-processors is available on request from [email protected]. Hybird will notify customers of any changes to sub-processors.
Data location
Data is stored within the EU/EEA. If any processing involves transfer outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
Security measures
Hybird implements technical and organisational measures to protect data, including encryption in transit, access controls, regular security reviews, and incident response procedures.
Data breach notification
In the event of a personal data breach, Hybird will notify the affected customer without undue delay (and in any case within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach) so the customer can fulfil their own notification obligations under GDPR.
Data deletion
Upon termination of the service agreement, Hybird will delete or return all customer data in accordance with the DPA terms, unless retention is required by law.
Requesting the full DPA
Business customers can request the full Data Processing Agreement by contacting [email protected].
