Installer onboarding journey

Note: Hybird-certified installers are formally referred to as "Hybird Certified Contractors" in customer-facing agreements.

Application

Begin your journey by emailing [email protected] with your company details, proof of licensed electrician credentials for your team, and details of your expected installation volumes. Hybird reviews all applications to ensure Contractors meet our quality and reliability standards.

Agreement

A Hybird partner manager is assigned to your account. You work together to review and sign the Contractor agreement, which covers the terms of your partnership, commission rates for Service and Optimisation (Contractors earn no commission on Connect), and the responsibilities you and Hybird each undertake. This agreement forms the foundation of your working relationship.

Training

Hybird provides comprehensive product training covering the complete Hybird platform. Training includes the hardware range (RCBO, MCB, and RCD breaker types, Edge Controller, Power Supply Unit, Uninterruptible Power Supply), installation procedures and best practices, RS485 communication wiring (daisy-chain topology, 500 Kbps data rate, maximum 80 breakers per controller), navigation of the Hybird OS platform, and commissioning procedures. You gain the technical knowledge needed to install and support Hybird systems professionally.

First order

You place your first hardware order through the Hybird webshop or by contacting [email protected]. Hardware discount tiers are based on your total spend volume, creating incentives for growing your installation business with Hybird.

First installation

You install Hybird hardware at your first customer site, following our detailed installation guides. Key installation steps include DIN rail mounting of all components, RS485 daisy-chain wiring connecting all breakers, controller setup with Ethernet as the primary connection (Wi-Fi as secondary, LTE as tertiary backup), and secure Power Supply Unit and optional UPS connection. This first installation establishes your competence and becomes your reference installation.

Commissioning

You register the installation in Hybird OS by creating the customer's site, associating the Edge Controller, running an automated breaker scan to discover and inventory all connected devices, assigning clear descriptive labels to each Modbus ID, and verifying that measurements are flowing correctly into the system. Proper commissioning ensures the customer receives reliable data from day one.

Customer handover

You walk the customer through their Hybird OS dashboard, explaining how to view real-time data, consumption history, and system status. You help them set up alert preferences and ensure they feel confident managing their system independently. This handover experience builds customer satisfaction and confidence in the Hybird platform.

Selling Service

You can offer Hybird Service contracts to your customers at 499 DKK per month excluding VAT. Service contracts are highly profitable for Contractors, earning you a recurring share of each subscription alongside installation fees. Commission rates are set out in the Contractor Agreement.

Ongoing support

Your Hybird partner manager is your primary contact for partnership queries, commercial discussions, and strategic support. For technical escalations and troubleshooting, contact [email protected]. For sales support and hardware ordering, email [email protected]. Hybird's support teams work with you to ensure every installation succeeds.

Hardware support

If any Hybird component is faulty, follow the Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) process coordinated with our support team. All Hybird hardware carries a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects. This warranty support protects both you and your customers, ensuring long-term reliability.

Certification requirements

To become a Hybird Certified Contractor, the installer must be a registered and authorised electrical installer under Danish law, and must complete Hybird's onboarding process including a platform onboarding call with the Hybird team. Platform access is granted after the onboarding call — there is no self-registration.

Customer onboarding obligations

When onboarding a new end-customer, the Contractor must ensure the customer signs the required Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and Marketing and Communication Consent form prior to activation. Within 4–6 weeks of Service activation, the Contractor provides the customer with Hybird's Optimisation information materials and facilitates GDPR-compliant consent for Hybird to contact the customer.
