Hybird RCBO complete technical specifications

Product overview

The Hybird RCBO (Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker) combines residual current protection with overcurrent protection in a single smart device. The RCBO is connected to the Hybird Edge Controller via RS485 Modbus, enabling real-time monitoring and remote state reporting.

Sensitivity options

30 mA, 100 mA, 300 mA

Trip threshold

Trips at the rated residual current (30 mA, 100 mA, or 300 mA depending on variant)

DC leakage detection

Type B capability available (detects AC, pulsating DC, and smooth DC leakage)

Curve types explained:

  • Type C (standard stock): General-purpose protection. Trips at 5–10 times rated current in instantaneous zone. Typical for conventional domestic and commercial installations.

  • Type B (made-to-order): Lower threshold. Trips at 3–5 times rated current in instantaneous zone. Suitable for circuits with minimal inrush current and for installations with variable frequency drives, IT equipment, or renewable energy systems.

Modbus communication

Each RCBO connects to the Edge Controller via RS485 Modbus RTU at 500 Kbps. Each device provides thousands of holding registers for measurement and state data. There are no input registers or coils.

Standards compliance

All Hybird RCBOs are CE and RoHS certified, covering both electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and the Low Voltage Directive (LVD). Certificate copies are available on request from [email protected].

Model naming convention

Hybird RCBO model numbers follow this structure: HY-RCBO-[Curve][Amps][Config]-V[Version]

Example: HY-RCBO-C16C4P-V3 = Hybird RCBO, C curve, 16A, 4-pole, V3 firmware.

Further specifications

Trip times, thermal trip curves, environmental limits (operating temperature, humidity, IP rating), and recommended test intervals will be published in the updated datasheet. Contact [email protected] for the latest datasheet.
