Managing controller settings

The controller settings page in Hybird OS provides detailed information about the Hybird Edge Controller and allows configuration changes.

Viewing controller details

Navigate to your site, then click on a controller to see:

  • Controller UUID: The unique hardware identifier.

  • Firmware version: The currently installed firmware.

  • Uptime: Time since last restart.

  • Last seen: Most recent communication timestamp.

  • Network connection: Current connection type (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or LTE).

  • Connected breakers: List of all breakers on this controller's RS485 bus.

Breaker scanning

When new breakers are added to the RS485 bus, use the breaker scan function to discover them. The controller polls the bus for all Modbus addresses and reports any new devices to Hybird OS. After scanning, new breakers appear in the breaker list and can be named and configured.

Network configuration

The controller uses DHCP by default. If static IP or other advanced network settings are needed, contact Hybird support. Wi-Fi credentials and LTE APN settings are also managed through Hybird support rather than directly in the user interface.

Firmware status

The controller settings page shows the current firmware version. Firmware updates are deployed over-the-air (OTA) by Hybird. When an update is available, it is pushed to the controller automatically. See the Firmware Updates article for details.

Restart

In some troubleshooting scenarios, a remote restart of the controller may be necessary. Contact Hybird support to request a remote restart if you cannot power-cycle the controller physically.
