Service contract renewal and changes

This article covers how Hybird Service contracts are renewed, modified, and managed.

Contract term

The minimum contract term for Hybird Service is 12 months. The exact term, start date, and pricing are specified in your service agreement.

Renewal

Contract renewal terms are specified in your agreement. In most cases, contracts auto-renew for successive periods unless either party gives notice before the end of the current term. The required notice period is stated in your agreement.

Adding circuits or sites

If you want to add more breakers to an existing site, or add a new site to your service contract:

  • Contact your service contract responsible party (your ceritified installer).

  • Additional hardware will need to be installed by a certified Hybird installer.

  • Your monthly fee may increase to reflect the additional monitored circuits.

  • An amendment to your service agreement will be issued.

Cancellation

To cancel your service contract, you must give notice as specified in your agreement. Contact your installer to initiate the cancellation process. Early termination during the initial contract term may incur fees as set out in your agreement.

What happens after cancellation

After your service contract ends:

  • Monitoring and alerting from Hybird cease.

  • Remote switching via Hybird OS is no longer available.

  • Your Hybird hardware remains installed in your panel and continues to function as standard circuit breakers (overcurrent and leakage protection), but without smart features.

  • Historical data in Hybird OS is retained for a period as specified in the agreement, after which it is deleted.

Contract periods and renewal

Contracts auto-renew for successive 12-month periods unless either party provides 3 months written notice before the end of the current period.

Early termination by the customer incurs a fee equal to the remaining months of the current contract period.

What happens when a contract ends

On termination, monitoring and platform access cease. Hybird hardware remains the customer's property and breakers continue to function as standard breakers without smart features.
