This article summarises the key terms that apply to registered Hybird installers. Refer to your signed installer agreement for the full terms.
Registration requirements
To register as a Hybird installer, you must:
Be a licensed electrician or employ licensed electricians in accordance with Danish regulations.
Complete the Hybird product training where required (provided by Hybird).
Accept the Hybird installer terms and conditions.
Installer obligations
As a registered Hybird installer, you agree to:
Install Hybird hardware in accordance with Hybird's installation guides and all applicable electrical regulations.
Use only genuine Hybird components and approved accessories.
Commission each installation properly: verify all breakers communicate with the controller, data flows to Hybird OS, and the system is fully operational before customer handover.
Follow Hybird's RMA process for any hardware that needs to be replaced.
Maintain appropriate professional liability and public liability insurance.
Not modify, reverse-engineer, or tamper with Hybird hardware beyond what is documented in the installation guides.
Hardware ordering and discounts
Installers order hardware through the Hybird webshop or directly from Hybird sales. Hardware discount tiers for installers are based on total hardware spend. Contact [email protected] for current tier details.
Service commissions
Contractors who sell Hybird Service contracts earn a recurring share of each subscription, and a share of Optimisation revenue for customers they introduce and continue to maintain. There is no Contractor commission on Hybird Connect. Commission is paid monthly in arrears. Full commission rates and terms are set out in the Contractor Agreement.
Warranty responsibility
Hybird hardware carries a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation. If a warranty claim is rejected on the grounds of installation error, the installer is responsible for the replacement cost and any associated labour.
Termination
Either party can terminate the installer agreement according to the notice terms in the agreement. Termination does not affect existing customer installations, which continue to be supported by Hybird.
Questions
For questions about installer terms, contact [email protected].
Prohibited activities
Contractors shall not attempt to perform Optimisation functions (event-based breaker set triggering, load shifting, peak balancing, or thermal battery management), access Optimisation-restricted areas of Hybird OS, represent to end-customers that they can deliver Optimisation services, or modify Hybird hardware or firmware in ways that could interfere with Optimisation schemes. Breach of these restrictions may result in suspension or revocation of Certified Contractor status.
Branding
Contractors may co-brand their service offering as "Powered by Hybird OS." White-labelling of Hybird hardware is not permitted. Co-labelling of marketing materials is permitted when selling Service contracts. Use of the Hybird name, logo, and trademarks must follow Hybird's brand guidelines.
Termination
The Certified Contractor Agreement may be terminated by either party with 6 months' written notice. Hybird may terminate immediately if the Contractor breaches the prohibited activities, fails to maintain required insurance, or loses their electrical installer authorisation. On termination, platform access is revoked and existing customer Service agreements are transferred to another Certified Contractor or serviced directly by Hybird.
