How Hybird saves you money

Hybird Optimisation reduces your electricity costs by identifying and eliminating wasted electricity consumption. Here is how it works in practice.

Understanding wasted electricity

Most sites consume electricity even when they are not operating. Ghost loads - equipment left on outside business hours, standby circuits, or systems running unnecessarily - quietly drain money from your bottom line.

Hybird Optimisation identifies these waste patterns by monitoring consumption at the circuit level. Once identified, breaker schedules are configured to eliminate the waste: circuits are only energised when the site actually needs them.

Optimisation saves on multiple fronts

Reducing overall consumption decreases:

  • The cost of the kWh consumed (the spot price component)

  • Grid tariffs (which scale with usage on some networks)

  • Electrical taxes (which are per-kWh)

Visibility into consumption patterns

In your Hybird OS dashboard, you can see:

  • Real-time power consumption for each monitored circuit

  • Historical consumption data broken down by hour, day, or month

  • Which breakers are currently energised or de-energised

  • The current state of each circuit (voltage, current, power, temperature, leakage)

This granular visibility lets you identify where waste is happening and target it. Your installer or Hybird support can help you understand your dashboard when the system is first set up.

Impact on your electricity bill

Your electricity bill reflects the total cost of your consumption. Hybird Optimisation reduces this by cutting out unnecessary consumption. Lower consumption means a lower bill across all components.

Typical savings vary by site depending on the volume of identifiable waste and how aggressively schedules are configured during commissioning.
