Not every site is a good fit for Hybird. Use this checklist to quickly assess whether a prospective site is viable before investing time in a detailed proposal.
For Hybird Optimisation
A site is a good candidate if it meets most of these criteria:
Meaningful electricity consumption:The site has sufficient total consumption that savings will be financially meaningful.
Flexible loads:A significant portion of consumption comes from loads that can be time-shifted - heating, ventilation, water heating, cold storage, EV charging, or, importantly, turned off outside of the business operating hours. The more flexible load and operations, the greater the savings potential.
-
Electrical panel capacity: There is physical space in the existing panel for Hybird breakers, or the customer is willing to install a new panel.
Internet connectivity: The site has reliable internet access (Ethernet preferred, Wi-Fi or LTE as fallback).
For Hybird Service
Service is viable for almost any site with Hybird hardware installed. Additional factors that make Service particularly valuable:
The site is unattended or has limited on-site electrical expertise.
The site has critical loads where unexpected downtime is costly (cold storage, production, data centres).
The customer wants proactive maintenance rather than reactive fault-finding.
The site has had previous electrical issues (trips, faults, leakage problems).
Disqualifying factors
A site is not a good fit if:
All consumption is from loads that must run at specific times with zero flexibility.
The site has no internet connectivity and cannot be provided with one, nor GSM connectivity.
The electrical panel cannot accommodate Hybird breakers and there is no willingness to upgrade to a new panel.
Next steps
If the site qualifies, gather the customer's recent electricity bills and consumption data (ideally from Eloverblik) and contact [email protected] or your partner manager to discuss a proposal.
