Why this matters
The Hybird app is updated frequently, and features you rely on during a build · like the torch in the QR scanner · may only exist in the latest version. An out-of-date app is one of the most common causes of a slow or confusing build day, so make this check part of your routine before heading to site.
How updates work
Updates arrive through the same link you used to install the app in the first place · the install link in your onboarding materials. Reopening that link always shows you the current version.
Checking you are up to date
Open your original install link · the same one from Getting the Hybird mobile app · download and install.
If the button reads Update, tap it and let the update complete.
If the button reads Open, you already have the latest version.
If no update appears but the app seems out of date
Occasionally an installed app can fall out of step with the link. If you are missing a feature you expect to have, or scanning behaves differently from the guides:
Delete the Hybird app from your phone.
Reopen your install link and install fresh.
Sign back in to your account.
This takes two minutes and guarantees you are on the current version.
When to check
Before every build or commissioning day.
Whenever an in-app guide does not match what you see on screen.
Whenever Hybird lets you know a new version is out.
Summary
Reopen your original install link · Update means update, Open means you are current. If in doubt, delete and reinstall from the link. Check before every build day so the app matches the guides.
