Overview
Panel assembly goes quickly and cleanly when a few things are in place before you open the Assembly guide. Run through this list first · each item saves a stop mid-build.
1 · Update the app
The app is updated frequently. Before a build day, reopen your original install link and update if prompted · the full check is in Keeping the Hybird app up to date. A quick tell: open the QR scanner · if you cannot see the torch button (the light bulb in the top right of the scan screen), your app is out of date.
2 · Have a small screwdriver ready
The green dip switch that moves a breaker between work mode and setup mode is recessed and needs a small flat screwdriver. You will flip it twice per breaker, so keep the screwdriver with you for the whole build.
3 · Every breaker off · and every breaker in work mode
Check these two together before you start:
All breakers switched off. You will turn each one on as it is addressed.
All breakers in work mode. Walk the panel and confirm no LED shows purple in its blink pattern. Breakers can arrive or be left in setup mode · the address command is a broadcast, and any extra breaker in setup mode will take the same address as the one you are working on.
During the build, only the single breaker you are addressing goes into setup mode, and it goes back into work mode before you move to the next one.
4 · Controller online
Confirm the panel's controller is online and reporting before you start addressing. If the controller is offline, no address command will reach the bus.
5 · Sort your lighting
By the time you are scanning and addressing, the breakers are off · which often means the room lights are too. Use the torch button in the top right of the scan screen, and set up a work light if the panel area is dark. The scanner is deliberately zoomed in so you do not scan a neighbouring QR code, so a steady, well-lit shot matters.
6 · Know what each circuit feeds
Addressing and the self-test switch breakers on and off. Before you start, confirm what is connected on the other side of each breaker, and make sure machinery and other sensitive equipment is safely powered down for the duration of the build. Never rely on switching a breaker as the way to shut down a running machine.
7 · Scan in order
Scan breakers in the same order as the planned layout · top left and across, the same order you took the photos in Planning. This keeps slots, labels and Modbus IDs aligned and makes any mismatch obvious immediately rather than at the end.
Summary
Latest app · screwdriver in hand · every breaker off and in work mode · controller online · lighting sorted · connected equipment powered down · scan in planned order. With those seven in place, the Assembly guide takes you breaker by breaker to a finished panel.
