Overview
The Hybird app walks a panel from bench to handover. A panel moves through four stages · Planning (layout and labels prepared in Hybird OS), Assembling (breakers mounted, scanned and addressed with the app), Deploying (installed on site and connected) and Operating (every device reporting). This article covers the app's part: association, addressing, recovery and the move to Operating. To get the app installed first, see Getting the Hybird mobile app · download and install.
1 · Scan the breaker to its planned slot
A new device starts in its Addressing state. Scan its QR code with the app to associate it with the slot and label planned for it. Take a second here · this match must be precise, and it is the step where an error most easily enters the build. A breaker associated with the wrong slot carries the wrong label all the way to the customer's consumption view.
2 · Address it with the Assembly guide
The app's per-breaker Assembly guide walks each device through three checked steps:
Flip the green switch to Setup mode. The LED shows purple in its blinking pattern. Confirm it is the only purple LED on the panel · walk the panel if unsure. Only one breaker on the bus may be in setup mode at a time; the address command is a broadcast, and two breakers in setup mode take the same address.
Tap Set address. The app verifies the breaker's identity before marking the step complete.
Flip the green switch back to Work mode. The LED settles back to blinking blue (breaker off). Do this before moving to the next breaker.
The dip switch and every LED pattern are covered in full in Setup mode and work mode · flipping the dip switch during addressing and Breaker states · Addressed, Addressing, Live and Isolated.
The panel stays energised throughout · the mode change never affects the breaker's protection or the circuit it feeds. Standard live-panel precautions apply.
3 · If a step fails, recover · don't restart
If a step fails with "The panel reported a failure. Try again.", use Start address recovery instead of restarting the whole panel. Recovery re-checks every Modbus address on the bus and reconciles the hardware records. Success shows Addressing recovered: "Every Modbus address answered cleanly and the panel's hardware records are reconciled."
If two devices have ended up sharing an address, see Modbus address collisions · troubleshooting guide.
4 · Move the panel to Operating
Once every device is addressed, move the panel from Addressing to Operating in the app. The panel starts reporting · consumption, live measurements and remote switching are on from that moment. If a device does not report after the move, see New device not reporting after installation · troubleshooting guide.

Summary
Scan each breaker to its planned slot, address it through the Assembly guide's three checked steps · setup mode, Set address, work mode · one breaker at a time with the panel live. If a step fails, Start address recovery reconciles the whole bus without a restart. Move the panel to Operating and every device reports from that moment.
